The director and founder of Study in Italy, Suzanne Branciforte, is the author of the best-selling introductory text Parliamo italiano! (Houghton Mifflin Company, now in its fourth edition).

The Study in Italy approach focuses on communication and being able to interact in an Italian context.
Choose the length of course (1 week to 1 month) and intensity (2 or 4 hours a day of instruction) that best suits you. Our on-site testing will place you in the appropriate level.
The RIVIERA courses run for two hours a day, allowing the student to enjoy more free time in the wonderful setting of Genoa and its Riviera. A basic presentation of Italian language with emphasis on communication may be complemented by an offering of culture through the Culture Packages that allow for an understanding of Italian art, history and contemporary life.
The LANTERNA courses are more intensive, with four hours of instruction each day, and allow students to study grammar and practice conversation. Communication skills are emphasized, along with analysis of grammatical structures, idioms and vocabulary. Grammar and contextualized conversation sessions are coordinated.
Small groups allow for focused, tailor-made instruction.
